Q: What have been your biggest takeaways, and how do you see that experience shaping your new role on the global team?
A: Joining Madaster Germany early on gave me the opportunity to be involved in many aspects of the platform’s development, allowing me to gradually build a deep understanding of our product. Working closely with clients, I gained valuable insights into regional market requirements and client expectations. Over the years, we also established a strong support team in Germany, focusing on personnel, structure, and expertise.
Now, I am eager to apply my knowledge to support other country teams and their clients, helping to strengthen Madaster on a global scale. Importantly, I’ve also developed a clear understanding of where the platform can be made more user-friendly and which workflow aspects we need to prioritize for improvement.
Q: What excites you most about stepping into this new role as Global Technical Support Specialist? Is there a particular challenge or opportunity you’re most looking forward to tackling on a global scale?
A: As a Product Manager, my role primarily involved incorporating regional user perspectives and needs into Madaster. However, I’ve always been intrigued by technical development processes and workflows, which I now have the chance to explore further.
In this new role, I hope to act as a bridge between user needs and technical development, bringing together different areas of expertise to achieve the best possible results. This alignment of perspectives is an exciting challenge that I look forward to tackling on a global scale.
Q: As someone deeply familiar with our platform, what’s a feature or functionality you think clients should be most excited about in 2025?
A: Just one feature? I’m particularly excited about the implementation of ‘Industrial Reuse,’ which holds enormous potential for conserving resources and reducing environmental impacts in construction projects.
I’m also looking forward to seeing how various digital solutions will become more interconnected, offering users even greater value based on their project data. From CAD programs and construction site management tools to certification systems, the seamless integration of these solutions is a milestone for true digitalization in the industry.
Additionally, we’ve strengthened our team to improve the platform’s user interface, enhancing usability. While this might not be immediately noticeable, it will significantly benefit users by making the platform’s versatile functionalities more accessible.
In my role, I aim to train local product managers and clients, ensuring they can fully leverage the platform’s potential. I also focus on effective documentation and addressing individual questions or issues quickly. By doing so, I hope to contribute to the platform’s continuous improvement based on real user feedback.
Q: Outside of work, what inspires you? Do you have passions that fuel your creativity and keep you motivated?
A: I’m passionate about mountaineering and long-distance hiking. As a native Berliner, I’m drawn to the contrast of spending days in vast, remote natural landscapes, regardless of the weather. It clears my mind and creates space for new perspectives.
In my personal life, I prefer being offline, working with my hands in the garden, or tackling DIY projects. This offline time provides the balance I need to channel my technical energy into my work. My interest in sustainable solutions and my love for puzzles connect both my personal and professional life.
Q: If you could describe your vision for Madaster’s global success in one sentence, what would it be?
A: “Madaster will become the global reference for a circular construction economy and the standard for material registration.”
My goal is to build trust in our platform by advocating for transparency and ensuring high standards of quality assurance. I look forward to collaborating with our international partners and stakeholders to drive client satisfaction and contribute to Madaster’s global expansion.
