l am 30 years old and live in Amersfoort (Vathorst). Over the past few years, I have worked at Aveco de Bondt, a part of VolkerWessels. During my time there, I was involved in various projects, including making real estate more sustainable and contributing to VolkerWessels’ annual report. Additionally, I served as the contact person between VolkerWessels and Madaster, collaborating extensively with Richard Greil (Client Engagement Manager, Madaster Netherlands) and Sander Beeks (Partnership Manager, Madaster Netherlands).
When I felt ready for a new challenge, I reached out to Sander for a coffee, having developed a fondness for Madaster and familiarity with its operations. After two productive conversations and a month-long holiday, I am pleased to announce that I have joined Madaster. My academic background includes a degree in Physics from VU University Amsterdam, where I focused on energy and sustainability during my master’s. I concentrated particularly on the behavioural changes necessary for the transition to sustainability. I am eager to apply this knowledge to accelerate the circular transition within the entire construction chain.
As a Sustainability Consultant at Madaster, I will focus on implementing Madaster solutions for clients. Together, we will work to practically realise circularity and environmental impact, leveraging these to gain strategic advantages. I aim to use my construction experience to create genuine sustainable value for our clients and the world.
Outside of work, I enjoy singing, swimming, and (Scotch) whisky. I am also an avid attendee of concerts and festivals. You may notice in the office or through Teams that I have a congenital physical disability. It is not progressive, but it does limit what I can do with my arms and hands. Despite this, it has virtually no impact on my work.
I look forward to accelerating the transition to a circular economy with Madaster!
See you soon!
